As Executive Vice-President, Meg Lusardi, brings more than 25 years of experience in private-sector, nonprofit and civil service energy engineering and operations positions. She joined the team in 2015, bringing her deep understanding of the energy sector and her firsthand experience with nonprofits, coupled with her work leading on statewide energy issues to the consortium’s highly successful business platform, ensuring that PowerOptions remains responsive to customers’ evolving needs, while helping strategize growth to shape the nonprofit’s future.
Lusardi holds a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. She worked for nearly a decade as a project manager at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and spent 10 years at the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources working her way up from analyst to acting commissioner, including the position of director of the Green Communities Division, a first in the nation program serving municipalities’ energy needs. Lusardi’s experience in nonprofits stems from 6 years helping homeless and low-income families overcome poverty at Dorchester-based nonprofit Project-Hope, where she was chief operating officer.
