BOSTON, June 7—PowerOptions today announced that Liam Sullivan has been promoted to the role of Vice President of Marketing and Communications, where he will continue to expand outreach and growth of the nonprofit energy-buying consortium.
Sullivan joined PowerOptions in 2010 as Director of Marketing and Communications, where he oversaw the communications strategy and customer outreach. In his new role, Sullivan will continue to direct the communications strategies, acting as the spokesperson for PowerOptions. He will oversee all traditional and digital marketing, media relations, market research, external relations and events.
“Liam has been a key member of our team by spearheading our efforts to broaden our base, achieve greater name recognition and move us toward a more coordinated, focused marketing and communications strategy. This promotion is a reflection of his success in these areas and his continued support of our efforts for members,” stated PowerOptions President and CEO Cynthia A. Arcate.
“I look forward to strengthening the communications strategies at PowerOptions through my new role, and continuing to promote the PowerOptions mission to provide New England nonprofits with best-in-industry energy solutions that are dependable and save money,” Sullivan said.
Prior to joining PowerOptions, Sullivan was the Director of Public Affairs for the Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority, one of the largest municipal bond issuers in Massachusetts. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and a master’s degree in integrated marketing communication from Emerson College.
